Having been invited to become a member of the Wilderness Medical Society, I attended 23 hours of advanced health profession education in July 2020 via their annual Symposium. Topics included up-to-the-minute research on emergency procedures, altitude acclimatization to help athletes, reducing the load on backpackers, and further skills in analyzing x-rays of sports injuries. During these challenging times in 2020, our health center is open nearly normal hours, because we are classified as Essential Health Services.
